Cabinet fronts, hinges, paint and kits · Version of October 22, 2026
Kitmodo LLC is a Texas limited liability company. You can reach us at 9313 Jamaica Beach, Jamaica Beach, TX 77554, by email at hello@kitmodo.com, or by phone at 1-833-KITMODO, Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm Central. By placing an order with Kitmodo you confirm that you have read these terms and agree to them. Please read them before you order. They explain what you are responsible for, what we are responsible for, and what happens when something goes wrong.
The short version
- Every front is built from the readings you give us, sized by us and shown to you to approve before you pay.
- We guarantee what you receive matches your approved order: right sizes, right style and color, right count, undamaged. If it doesn’t, we remake it free.
- Measuring is yours, and we make it as easy as we can — checks in the app, and with the Measure Confidence Kit, a coach on a Measure Call and the Door Replacement Promise.
- Installing and painting are yours, or your installer’s and your painter’s.
- Samples and paint show a likeness, not an exact match. Grain falls differently depending on where a piece is cut, and your boxes and fronts read as a matched set, not as one material.
- Fronts are made to order. Once your order is in production there are no changes, cancellations, returns or refunds.
- Cabinet fronts ship within 10 to 15 business days of payment. In stock, the Measure Confidence Kit and samples ship within 1 to 2 business days. If an order runs late, we tell you and give you a revised ship date; a late shipment never covers labor, listing dates or other costs.
- Report any problem within 15 days of delivery, with photos, before installing.
- Our responsibility ends at replacing or repairing fronts. We never cover labor, scheduling, listing dates, or other indirect costs.
1. Your responsibilities and verifications
By placing an order, you acknowledge and accept the following.
1.1 Your measurements are yours
Kitmodo does not visit your property and does not measure your cabinets. Every measurement in your order is taken and entered by you, whether you use the tape in the Measure Confidence Kit, another digital tape, or a standard tape. Whether a reading is typed in, sent from a digital tape, or read from a photo of the tape, you confirm it before it is used, and a confirmed reading is your reading.
The app checks readings for obvious problems, such as a frame strip too narrow to share, a front taller than we can make, or a door narrower than its opening. A reading that passes those checks is not verified by Kitmodo. We rely on your readings exactly as entered, and we are not responsible for a front that doesn’t fit because a reading was wrong, incomplete, taken on the wrong cabinet, or taken in the wrong place, except as provided by the Door Replacement Promise in section 6.5.
The Measure Confidence Kit includes a coach on a Measure Call. The coach’s job is to make your readings good ones: how to hold the tape, where to measure, what to check twice. The coach does not verify your readings and does not measure for you. You take each reading and confirm it, and confirmed readings are what we build from.
1.2 You have read what you are buying
Every door style and finish has a specifications page: what the front is made of (core, surfaces, edges, thickness, frame widths), what its drawer front is, the coordinated box paint, the notes for Paint Ready, the hinge pattern, how handles are drilled, how the grain runs, the smallest and largest sizes we make, and the warranty term for that style. By ordering, you confirm you have read the specifications for the style and finish on your order. That page is part of these terms, and the limited warranty in section 5 runs for the term stated there.
1.3 How we size your fronts
We build fronts from the openings in your cabinets, not by copying your old doors. The method is:
- We use the representative cabinets you measure at the start of your order (we ask for two) to determine your kitchen’s door system: how far each door and drawer front extends past its opening onto the cabinet. In the trade this is called the overlay. One overlay is applied to the whole kitchen.
- We measure every opening individually to account for variations in cabinet construction. Each front is sized from its own opening plus the kitchen’s overlay.
- When you choose Closer spacing, we also verify that the frame you measured can accommodate the new overlay.
You acknowledge that the door system, and every front sized from it, depends on the cabinets you chose to measure and on the readings you took. If the representative cabinets are not typical of your kitchen (a different age, a repair, a replaced door, an add-on cabinet), fronts elsewhere may fit differently. That is not a sizing error.
1.4 What “Original spacing” and “Closer spacing” mean
A cabinet maker may have intended every door in your kitchen to have the same overlay, yet the actual relationship between door and opening can vary from cabinet to cabinet because of face-frame construction variation, doors not being perfectly centered on their openings, hinge adjustment over the years, a replacement door made at a different time, a previous repair, an unusual cabinet, or nonstandard construction. For this reason new fronts are never copies of your old doors.
Original spacing. We build to the stocked overlay nearest to what your representative cabinets show, so new doors are sized like the ones you have now. New fronts may differ from your old doors by a small fraction of an inch, and old doors that were trimmed, out of square, or mismatched are not reproduced. If your doors are off when you measure, Original spacing is the standard size for framed cabinets.
Closer spacing. Fronts sit closer together than they do today. “Closer spacing” is not a promise of a particular gap size, of identical gaps everywhere, or of a full-overlay, frameless-style look. Closer spacing shrinks every gap by the same amount; it doesn’t even them out all to the same gap width throughout. On framed cabinets, a band of cabinet frame stays visible where two cabinets meet. That band is wider than the gap between two doors on the same cabinet; it is part of how framed cabinets are built, not a defect.
The frame showing is set by your cabinets. How much frame shows between fronts depends on how wide your frames are and on the overlay we can build to. Typically it is about a quarter to half an inch between the doors on one cabinet, and about one to two inches where two cabinets meet. Closer spacing is offered only where the frame you measured allows a larger overlay — as a guide, cabinets with about 1-3/4 inches or more of frame between the doors. Where it does not, your order is built to Original spacing, and your order names the spacing it is built to.
Every pair of doors that share one opening is built with a gap between them. Doors are never built to touch.
1.5 Frame clearance is yours to measure
When we ask you to measure the narrowest strips of frame that fronts will share — on the representative cabinets and on an all-drawer cabinet — we size the overlay to fit the strips you measured. If a strip somewhere else in your kitchen is narrower than the ones you measured, fronts there may touch or overlap. That is a measurement matter, not a sizing error.
When we do not ask for those strips, each row of doors is built to the overlay the door on your representative cabinet shows, top and bottom included, and we rely on the doors hanging in your kitchen as the proof that overlay fits. If a cabinet elsewhere has a narrower strip of frame than your representative cabinet, fronts there will sit as close together as the doors you have now, or closer. That too is a measurement matter, not a sizing error. The same applies to fillers, appliance panels, moldings, walls, and anything else near an opening that you did not measure or tell us about.
1.6 Cabinet type, hinges, face frames and box thickness
You tell us whether your cabinets are framed or frameless and, on frameless cabinets, whether the box walls are 5/8 inch or 3/4 inch thick. Hinges and sizes follow that answer. A wrong answer produces fronts that don’t fit, and that is not a sizing error.
On framed cabinets, our hinges are made for the standard cabinet face frame: solid wood, 3/4 inch thick, and sound enough to hold a screw. Metal cabinets, and face frames that are thinner than 3/4 inch, split, rotted, water-damaged, or too worn to hold a screw, may not take our hinges. By ordering, you confirm your face frames meet this standard. A front that cannot be hung because a face frame falls short of it is not a sizing error or a defect.
Kitmodo fronts are made for cabinets that hang their doors on concealed hinges, the kind you can’t see when the door is closed. Cabinets with visible hinges, where any part of the hinge shows on the outside of the cabinet with the door closed (often called exposed or semi-concealed hinges), can’t take our fronts and hinges, and Kitmodo is not available for them. By ordering, you confirm your cabinets have concealed hinges. A front ordered for a cabinet with visible hinges is not a sizing error or a defect.
Kitmodo does not make inset doors (doors that sit inside the opening, flush with the frame). If your cabinets have inset doors and you proceed anyway, you will receive overlay fronts that sit on top of the frame.
1.7 Orders entered with your own sizes
If you choose “I have my own sizes” and enter finished sizes and hinge overlays yourself, we build exactly what you enter. We do not check fit, overlay, clearance, or hinge choice on these orders. Only our maximum height (63 inches) and our tall-door pricing (43 inches and taller) apply. A front built to the size you typed is the correct size. With the Measure Confidence Kit, the Door Replacement Promise (6.5) applies to these orders too.
1.8 Your approved order is the order
Before you pay, the app shows every front we will build: its size, its type, its door style and finish, the hinge, the paint that ships with it, the quantity, and the delivery address. You confirm that you have reviewed it and that the measurements are yours. Anything discussed by email, phone, chat, or on a Measure Call that is not on the approved order is not part of the order. Ask about anything unclear before you pay; once production begins, nothing can be changed.
1.9 Property, delivery and receiving
You confirm that you have authority to order fronts for the property and to have them delivered there. Someone must be available to receive the delivery and inspect it. If the property is vacant, or the fronts go to a job site, a storage unit, an office, or a third party, the 15-day reporting period still runs from the delivery date recorded by the carrier. Store cartons flat, indoors, dry, and out of direct sun until installation.
1.10 Installation and painting are yours
Kitmodo sells fronts, hinges, paint and kits. We do not install, paint, or supervise anyone who does. You confirm you have, or will hire, someone able to hang doors, mount drawer fronts, adjust concealed hinges, and paint cabinet boxes. Our Installer Referral is a referral only; the installer is an independent business and is not our agent, employee, or subcontractor.
Painting cabinet boxes, and the fronts themselves on Paint Ready orders, is your work: surface prep, priming, filling old hinge-screw holes, application, drying time, and the result are all yours. Hinge adjustment is part of installation. Final alignment of doors and drawer fronts is set by the installer, not at the factory.
2. What your fronts are
Read this before you order. It is what your fronts are and what to expect from them.
2.1 Renderings and pictures on screen
A Kitmodo rendering is a computer-generated picture. You send one photo of your kitchen, and software redraws it in the door style and finish you chose so you can see the likeness of the change before you buy. It is a visualization to help you choose, and that is the whole of what it is.
Because it is generated by software, a rendering can get details of your room wrong: the number of doors and drawers, the layout, hardware, countertops, appliances, flooring and lighting. It may add something that is not in your kitchen or leave out something that is. Those are artifacts of the picture, not a description of your order.
Order a sample — it is the only way to know a finish. Screens shift color and generated color shifts further, so no rendering and no screen can settle a color. A sample door and a box paint chip, held against your cabinets in your own light at the time of day you actually use the room, will. Order them before you order a kitchen.
Your order is what you ordered. The fronts we build are the ones on your approved order — the style, finish, front types, counts and sizes listed there. A rendering never changes that, never adds to it, and is not a quote, a proposal, or a promise of a result.
How your kitchen looks when it is finished depends on your boxes, your paint, your hardware, your installation and your lighting. A rendering cannot account for any of those.
The photo you send us. By uploading a photo you confirm you have the right to give it to us and to have it used to make your rendering. If you are ordering for a client, an owner, or a seller, that permission is yours to have before you upload. How we handle your photos and other personal information is covered in our Privacy Policy at kitmodo.com/privacy.
Renderings are free, with a limit on how many we make for one email address in a 30-day period. If you share a rendering with a client or an owner, these same terms apply to what they are looking at.
Drawings, before-and-after pictures, the spacing screens and any other visualization work the same way: they are there to help you choose, are not to scale for your kitchen, and are not a promise of particular gaps, alignment, color, or appearance.
2.2 Samples, chips and screens
Our finishes are manufactured to a standard. Color, texture and sheen are calibrated to that standard from run to run, so a sample door (8.5 by 11 inches) or color chip is a reliable likeness of the finish you will receive — a representation of it, not a color standard to hold up and match.
What varies is where a piece was cut. Every front and every sample is cut from a larger sheet, and the pattern falls differently depending on where the cut lands. Two pieces of the same finish can show different sections of grain, and the grain in your sample may sit differently than the grain on your fronts. That is how the material is made, not a defect, and not grounds for a remake, a return, or a refund.
The grain runs top to bottom on every front; on Shaker Fusion that is the center panel and the drawer front, with the frame following each rail and stile. We do not grain-match: the pattern is not continued from one front to the next, and no two fronts show the same section of grain.
Small differences in tone and sheen can occur between production runs. No sample can show the range across a whole order. Colors on a phone or computer screen are for reference only and will differ from the real finish. Ordering a sample is how you judge a finish before you buy; approving your order is your acceptance of that finish as samples represent it.
Sample returns. Samples are final sale and cannot be returned.
2.3 Box paint
The paint that ships with your fronts is color-coordinated to the overall tone of the finish you chose. We work to get it extremely close. It is not an exact match, it is not warranted as one, and a difference in color, tone or sheen between your painted boxes and your fronts is not grounds for a remake, a return, or a refund.
Two things put an exact match out of reach, and neither is a defect. Paint and a factory finish are different materials — they hold color and reflect light differently, so the same color reads differently on a painted box than on a finished front. And paint is mixed in batches that vary slightly from one another: paint from a later order, a touch-up can, or the paint that ships with a replacement front may not blend invisibly with paint from your original order. Order enough at the start, use paint from one order across the whole kitchen, and keep what is left over.
Your fronts and boxes will read as a matched set. They will not read as one continuous material, and are not meant to.
Paint Ready fronts ship primed and unpainted; no paint is included, and you supply your own color.
2.4 Hinges, hinge holes and handles
Doors arrive drilled for concealed hinges at our standard positions, 3 inches from the end of the door to the center of each hinge cup, and soft-close hinges are included. The number of hinges per door is set by door height (two up to 35 inches, three up to 60, four up to 63), with middle hinges spaced evenly. The full hinge pattern is on the specifications page.
When your doors arrive, the hinge holes show the door’s core. That is the drilling, not damage: the hinge presses into the hole and covers it. The new hinge positions will usually differ from your old ones; you fill the old screw holes on your cabinets before painting, and that is normal cabinet work, not a defect. Doors are drilled on one long edge and serve either a left- or right-hinged opening. Our hinges adjust in six directions; adjusting them at installation and over the life of the kitchen is routine maintenance.
Handle holes are not drilled at the factory. You drill them with the jig in the Install It Kit and mount the pulls or knobs. Where you place them, and the holes you drill, are yours; a front drilled for handles cannot be replaced for placement or drilling.
2.5 Sizes, tolerances and rules
Fronts are built to the sizes on your approved order, to standard manufacturing tolerance. Tiny differences (small fractions of an inch that do not affect fit) are not defects. Our maximum height is 63 inches; a taller front is built as two doors, one above the other, joined by a mending plate that appears on your order. A door 43 inches or taller is priced as two doors. Our smallest and largest sizes are stated on the specifications page and checked in the app before you pay. Our pricing is per front and does not change with size below those thresholds.
3. Your protections and guarantees
By placing an order, you accept these promises and protections.
3.1 Size guarantee
Sizes come from one of two places, and the guarantee follows whichever applies to your order.
On a guided order, we calculate the sizes. You measure openings rather than doors: the openings themselves, the representative cabinets, and, when we ask for them, the frame strips your fronts will share. You also tell us how you want the fronts to sit — keeping the look you have, or modernizing it. From those readings we calculate the finished size of every front and the hinges to carry it. The sizes we build are the ones that calculation produces, not the numbers you typed, and every one of them is on your screen for you to approve before you pay.
What we guarantee on a guided order: every front is built to the size we calculated and you approved, within standard manufacturing tolerance, with the hinges that match it. If a front arrives at a size other than the one you approved before ordering, we remake it and ship it free.
When you enter your own sizes, you calculate them. Choosing “I have my own sizes” means you supply finished sizes and hinge overlays, and we build exactly what you enter. Our maximum height of 63 inches and our tall-front pricing at 43 inches and taller still apply.
What we guarantee on an order you sized: every front is built to the size you entered, within standard manufacturing tolerance. If a front arrives at a size other than the one you entered and approved before ordering, we remake it and ship it free.
How your fronts fit your cabinets follows from the readings behind those sizes; 3.8 covers what we do when a front needs rebuilding.
3.2 Right-order guarantee
You receive the door style, finish, front type, quantity, and hinges shown on your approved order. Anything that doesn’t match is remade or supplied at no charge when reported within 15 days.
3.3 Shipping guarantee
Fronts that are missing, damaged, or defective on arrival are replaced at no charge when reported within 15 days with the photos described in 3.5.
3.4 Limited warranty
Kitmodo warrants your fronts and hinges against defects in material and workmanship, for the term stated on the specifications page for your door style, for the original purchaser under normal residential use. This is a limited warranty. Details, conditions and exclusions are in section 5.
3.5 Reporting a problem: damage, wrong size, wrong color, missing parts
You have 15 days from the delivery date to inspect every carton and report anything missing, damaged, or not matching your approved order. To report a problem you provide photos of the problem, a photo of the label on the back of each affected part, and, for shipping damage, a photo of the shipping carton.
Check fit before you install. Hold each front against its opening to confirm it fits. Do not hang, trim, drill, paint, or otherwise alter a front you intend to claim — installation is acceptance of that part, and an altered front cannot be replaced. Test fitting a front against the opening is not installation.
Do not refuse a delivery because a carton looks damaged; that delays your claim.
Every report filed in the window is reviewed and answered. Reports made after 15 days may be considered at our discretion, with no assurance of a remedy. Nothing in this section limits any right you have under the law of your state.
3.6 No field fixes — we replace the front
Our remedy for a front that is damaged, defective, or built to a size other than the one on your approved order is a replacement front, made and shipped at no charge. That is the only remedy we offer. We do not repair fronts in the field, authorize anyone else to, or reimburse the cost of doing so. Kitmodo does not accept, review, or pay invoices for field repairs, trimming, re-drilling, refinishing, or any other on-site correction, whether from you, your installer, your painter, or a contractor, and whether or not the work was done before contacting us. A front that has been trimmed, re-drilled, refinished, or otherwise altered is no longer eligible for replacement or warranty.
3.7 Support and expediting
Contact us with photos and details. We walk you through the next steps and answer every report. Replacements and additions are expedited to keep your project moving.
3.8 Reordering a front
If a reading needs a front rebuilt, we expedite it the same way we expedite everything else. That front is at our regular per-front price. Doors covered by the Door Replacement Promise in section 6.5 are remade and shipped free.
4. Final sale and production
Fronts are cut to your measurements and cannot be resold. Once you pay, your order goes to production, and from that point there are no changes, cancellations, returns, exchanges, or refunds for any front, including fronts that are unused, mismeasured, or no longer needed. By placing your order you agree that all sales are final.
This does not affect your rights under the guarantees in section 3 and the limited warranty in section 5, or any right you have under federal law or the law of your state. Samples and the Measure Confidence Kit are final sale; see 2.2 and 6.4.
5. Limited warranty details
5.1 What is warranted
Kitmodo warrants that your cabinet fronts, decorative panels and hinges will be free from defects in material and workmanship for the term stated on the specifications page for your door style, starting on the delivery date, for the original purchaser under normal residential conditions. Examples of what is covered: a front that delaminates, cracks, warps or splits under normal indoor conditions; a factory finish that peels, chips or fails without damage; a hinge that fails in normal use.
5.2 How it works
Send us photos (the problem and the label on the back of the part) and a description, by email to hello@kitmodo.com or through your dashboard. We may ask for more photos or to inspect the part. We may repair or replace, at our choice. The warranty covers the part only, never removal, reinstallation, painting, finishing, or other labor. Because finishes and production runs vary, a replacement may not exactly match fronts made at a different time. Replacement fronts ship on our shipping terms.
5.3 Conditions
Fronts must be stored, installed, painted, and cared for properly. The warranty is for the original purchaser at the original property and is not transferable.
5.4 What is not covered
Measurement and fit. Anything that follows from a reading, a cabinet-type answer, a box-thickness answer, a strip you did not measure, a cabinet that differs from your representative cabinets, or an inset cabinet ordered as framed. A front built to your approved order is the correct size.
Installation and site. Hinge adjustment and alignment; doors that rub because a cabinet is out of level, out of square, or bowed; fronts trimmed, drilled, or altered; damage during installation; anything done by your installer.
Your paint job. Paint applied by you or your painter to boxes or to Paint Ready fronts. Adhesion, coverage, color, sheen, and durability are yours. Coordinated box paint is not warranted as an exact match to the fronts.
Variation. Grain pattern, tone, sheen and texture variation in wood-look finishes, and batch-to-batch variation in solid-color finishes and in box paint; differences between a sample, a chip, a screen, a photo and the delivered product; differences between production runs, including paint bought or shipped at a different time.
Aging. Color change from sunlight, artificial light, heat, moisture, cooking, or cleaning products over time.
Storage and handling. Fronts stored on edge, outdoors, in damp or unconditioned space, or in direct sun; scuffs on backs or edges that are hidden after installation.
Use and care. Misuse, abuse, neglect, or modification; harsh or abrasive cleaners; heat from ovens, ranges, toasters, or coffee makers; steam from dishwashers or kettles; standing water; outdoor, marine, or commercial use.
Normal wear. Scratches, nicks, dulling, and wear marks from everyday use; routine tightening or adjusting of hinges.
Industry standards. Standard manufacturing tolerances and finishing techniques that differ from a customer’s expectation.
5.5 Your rights under state law
This limited warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights that vary from state to state. Some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, or the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the limitations and exclusions in this section and in section 7.1 may not apply to you. Any implied warranties, including implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose, are limited to the term of this limited warranty, to the extent your state allows.
6. Ordering, delivery and costs
What an order costs, when it ships, and what else you can add to it.
6.1 Production and delivery timing
The ship window. Cabinet fronts orders ship within 10 to 15 business days of your paid order. Most ship sooner. Business days are Monday through Friday, excluding U.S. federal holidays and any day we are closed. The count starts on the first business day after we receive your paid order; on an order paid before its measurements are submitted, it starts on the first business day after you submit and approve your sizes.
Ship dates are targets, not guarantees. Timing depends on production schedules, carriers, weather, and events outside our control, and may extend for large orders, custom colors, holidays, peak season, supply issues, or anything else outside our control. If your order will not ship by the fifteenth business day, we will tell you before then and give you a revised ship date.
If we run late. A late shipment is not a breach of these terms. When an order is running late, we send you a delay notice with a revised ship date and any choices the law requires us to offer, and we ship as soon as we can. A late shipment never entitles you to a discount, a credit, or to any cost, loss or delay that follows from it (see 7.1).
The Measure Confidence Kit and samples. When in stock, the Measure Confidence Kit and samples ship within 1 to 2 business days of payment. If an item is out of stock, we tell you before you pay where we can, or as soon as we know, and give you a revised ship date.
Delivery. Delivery dates quoted by the carrier are estimates, not guarantees. We are not responsible for any cost, loss or delay that follows from an order arriving earlier or later than expected (see 7.1).
6.2 Prices, shipping and tax
Prices are per front, as shown at checkout, and include the hinges and coordinated box paint described on the specifications page for your style. Shipping is charged separately and is calculated at checkout from the number of fronts in the order. Shipping is charged on replacement orders as well, unless a promotion or an account waiver applies, or the replacement is covered by the Door Replacement Promise in 6.5. Sales tax is charged where the delivery address requires it. The price shown at checkout before you pay is the price that applies to your order.
6.3 Add-on kits
Install It, Refinish It, Paint It, and Prime It are sold only as complete kits; we do not sell individual pieces from them. Free kits are included goods with no cash value and cannot be exchanged for a discount, credit, or refund. Kit contents and quantities are matched to the size of your fronts order, and we may substitute an item with one of equal or better quality when supply requires. Refinish It is not included with Paint Ready orders.
6.4 The Measure Confidence Kit
The kit. The Measure Confidence Kit costs $149 and includes a REEKON digital tape measure, numbered door labels, a coach on a Measure Call of up to 45 minutes, and the Door Replacement Promise described in 6.5. The kit is a purchase, and it is yours to keep whether or not you place a cabinet fronts order. In stock, it ships within 1 to 2 business days of payment (see 6.1).
The offer. Buying the kit earns a discount equal to what you paid for the kit ($149 at full price; a kit bought with a promotion earns the amount you paid for it, and a complimentary kit earns no cash discount but still carries the Door Replacement Promise) off one cabinet fronts order that meets the minimum order amount stated in the kit offer when you buy the kit, placed within 90 days of the kit purchase date. The minimum is a product subtotal, before shipping and tax. The offer in force on the day you bought your kit, including its minimum, is recorded with your kit order and shown in your Kitmodo dashboard, and that recorded offer is the one that applies to you whatever we offer later. The discount is applied before sales tax is calculated.
Offer conditions:
- One discount per kit, applied to a single order. It cannot be split across orders or applied to an order already placed.
- The offer is tied to the account that purchased the kit and cannot be transferred or sold.
- The discount has no cash value. It is not a payment toward an order, a store credit, a gift card, or a stored balance, and it cannot be exchanged for cash, credit, or a refund.
- The discount can be combined with other Kitmodo discounts and promotions in effect at the time of your order.
- THE OFFER EXPIRES 90 DAYS AFTER THE KIT PURCHASE DATE. Orders placed after that date are not eligible, and an unused offer has no value.
- If an order that used the discount is cancelled or refunded, the discount is used and does not carry over to another order.
Measure Call. The call is available Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm Central, by phone, and must be used within 90 days of the kit purchase date. We do not offer video calls, and we do not record Measure Calls. The coach’s role is described in 1.1: guidance only. You remain responsible for the accuracy of every reading you confirm.
Kit returns. The Measure Confidence Kit is final sale. It cannot be returned, exchanged, or refunded.
6.5 The Door Replacement Promise (limited warranty)
The promise. If up to two doors in your order do not fit because of a measurement error, we remake them at no cost to you: the replacement doors and their shipping are free. The Promise is included with the Measure Confidence Kit and is available only to kit purchasers. It applies to the cabinet fronts order on which your kit offer (6.4) is used, whether you measured with us or entered your own sizes, and it covers up to two doors per kit. A door 43 inches or taller uses both.
Any two doors. The Promise covers whichever two doors in that order do not fit. Where kit materials say “your first two doors,” that means the first two doors you report as not fitting within 15 days of delivery, and nothing more.
What it means for a door not to fit. A door does not fit if it does not properly cover the cabinet opening it was ordered for, when the opening is measured following Kitmodo’s instructions and the cabinet has not been altered since you measured.
How to claim. Let us know within 15 days of delivery, with photos of the door held against its opening and photos showing the opening’s measurements. We will confirm corrected measurements with you before the replacement is built, so that the replacement fits. Do not install, trim, drill, paint, or alter a door you intend to claim.
What the Promise does not cover:
- More than two doors per kit
- Drawer fronts, decorative panels, and any part that is not a door
- A change of mind about style, finish, color, or quantity
- Doors that were installed, trimmed, drilled, painted, or otherwise altered
- Cabinets altered, repaired, or replaced after you measured
- Shipping damage, wrong size, or the wrong item, which are covered by section 3
- A replacement door supplied under the Promise, which cannot itself be claimed again
This is a limited warranty. Section 5.5 applies to it. Your rights under state law are not affected.
7. Responsibility limits and general terms
7.1 What we owe, at most
Our responsibility for any order is limited to repairing or replacing the affected fronts or, at our choice, refunding what you paid for them. Our total responsibility never exceeds what you paid for the order.
That limit holds whatever the cause — a delay or late shipment, a shortage, a shipping issue, a manufacturing issue, a measurement error, or a remake. It does not extend to labor, installation, painting, removal or reinstallation, installer or painter charges, return trips, rescheduled photography, staging, showings, open houses, listing or MLS dates, closing dates, tenant move-in dates, lost rent, storage, or any other indirect or consequential cost.
Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so this limitation may not apply to you. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
7.2 Ordering for someone else
If you order for a client, owner, seller, or tenant, you are our customer. You are responsible for these terms, for the measurements, and for passing on care and warranty information.
7.3 Records
Your readings, the sizes we calculate from them, your approval, and the kit offer in force when you bought a Measure Confidence Kit are kept as the record of the order.
7.4 Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The version you accept at checkout is the version that applies to that order, and we keep a copy of it with your order record.
7.5 Governing law and where disputes are handled
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict of laws rules. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Galveston County, Texas, and you and Kitmodo consent to the jurisdiction of those courts. This does not take away any right you have under the consumer protection laws of the state where you live.
7.6 If part of these terms cannot be enforced
If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, that part is limited or removed to the smallest extent necessary, and the rest of the terms stay in force.
7.7 The whole agreement
These terms, the specifications page for your style, your approved order, and our Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and Kitmodo for that order, and replace anything said or written before it.
7.8 Transfer
You may not transfer your order or these terms to anyone else without our written agreement. We may transfer them to a company that buys or merges with our business, and your rights stay the same.
7.9 Delay outside our control
We are not responsible for failure or delay caused by events outside our reasonable control, including natural disasters, severe weather, strikes, carrier failures, supply shortages, or government action.
8. Text messages
If you give us a mobile number on an order, you agree that Kitmodo may text you about that order: a verification code, when it ships, tracking, and replies to a question you text us. How many messages depends on your order. Message and data rates may apply, and neither we nor the carriers are responsible for a message that arrives late or not at all.
Reply STOP to any message to end texts, or HELP for help. STOP stops texts on that number for every order you have with us, and your order still reaches you by email and in your dashboard. Your mobile number and your agreement to receive texts are never shared or sold for anyone else’s marketing.
This covers messages about your order only. We do not send promotional texts, and if that ever changes we will ask you separately and you will have to opt in.
9. Civility Code
We treat every customer, and every installer and painter working for a customer, as a professional, and we expect the same in return. Home projects are stressful, and a listing deadline more so; that is understood.
So here is the whole of what we ask: work with us, and be a good human about it. Tell us what went wrong, send a photo, give us the chance to make it right. Almost everything that goes sideways on a kitchen gets sorted out in one conversation between two people being straight with each other.
And keep it in proportion. These are cabinet fronts. They are not the house and they are not the sale, and there is very little that can happen here that we cannot put right — usually faster than you expect. Whatever it turns out to be, we would rather be standing next to you working on it than across a table from you arguing about it.
That runs both ways. You get clear communication, realistic expectations, prompt answers, fair resolutions, and ownership of our own mistakes. When we get something wrong, we say so and we fix it.
